You can have Spanish language training in monumental Segovia in (Spain) or in the Peruvian cities of Huancayo (in the Andes) and Satipo (in the Central Jungle of the Amazonia). Language training will be followed by a personalized internship in Spain or in Peru. You make your own program: It is possible to combine the Spanish language training in one country with the internship in the other country
Interns must be available for a minimum of 4 months (at least 2 months in Spain or Peru learning or improving their Spanish language skills; and a minimum of 2 months in the Department of Junin – Huancayo or Satipo). Interns are welcome and encouraged to make a commitment for 9 months or 1 year.
The cost of the Internship depends on the length of the stay: It varies from 6,401 USD (for a 4 month program) to 10,929 USD (for a 12 month program). These fees include Training in Spanish language, Internship, Accommodation, Visa, Certificates, Supervision by an SLI Project Coordinator, Mobile phone, Laptop, Round trip transportation from the Lima airport to your project site.
Participants staying in Peru will receive a monthly salary of 50 USD during the internship.

Relevant course work or work experience in your selected internship field
Ability to work independently and in a team
Examples of specific internships:
1. CIVIL ENGINEERING (PERU)
Interns will be placed in the Unit of Studies and Works of the Department of Urban and Rural Development Management.
Eighty percent of the work is carried out in rural communities. This work can deal with elaboration of studies or technical reports, construction, physical evaluation of the works, and completion of the works.
The following are examples of specific works:
Opening and restauration of local tracks
Construction de bridges and footbridges
Construction of school classrooms
Construction of rural health clinics
Systems of drinking water
Sewer and drainage systems
Latrines system
Collection center for agricultural products
Construction of communal locals

2. TOURISM MANAGEMENT (SPAIN)
Students will be placed in the Segovia City Hall. The work of the intern will be framed in the Internationalization Plan of the City of Segovia, as a tourist quality mark.
Sample of tasks are: Development of research documents about tourist development in Segovia, Spain and the world; participation in fairs for the internationalization of the Segovia tourism; Searching new international partners for the development of joint projects for the internationalization of tourist products; Developing European and Spanish projects for the improvement of the tourist infrastructures in the city; etc…
3. JOURNALISM (SPAIN)
Interns will work in the Segovia local media, where they will carry on tasks as journalists and correspondents.
The following are examples of tasks: Editing articles on general information about current affairs; interviewing outstanding persons of the political, cultural and social life in the province; press coverage in the local environment (attending fairs, events, awards ceremonies, etc.); editing graphic material; and more…
4. BUSINESS (SPAIN)
Interns will be placed in the Segovia Business Federation. They will carry on tasks for supporting Segovia companies.
The Segovia Business Federation offers opportunities in various areas: Establishing cooperation agreements between business areas and spaces in fields such as Environment, Occupational Hazards, Management of Industrial Waste, etc; searching new business credit lines for the development of business areas and spaces; improving the relationship between supply and demand for services of Segovia companies; consulting services for the Segovia companies for the internalization of their products; and more…
