i've been looking for an internship, part time or temporary job in design for a while. i have found a few that are interesting, but require some experience in some way or another. I am creavite, innovative and very thorough and i hope to find something that would help me to gain some valuable experience in the workplace and also to add something to my CV. I have some qualifications as to show the work and effort that has gone into help me persue an enjoyable and illustrious career in design, I have an A grade in Fine art at GCSE level to show that that I have something creative to offer and also a B grade GCSE in Graphics. Glasgow Tutors

We are currently recruiting tutors in all subject areas to provide one-to-one tuition to schoolchildren in Glasgow and its suburbs. Tutors can take on between 1.5 and 6 hours of work per week (ie up to 3 pupils for 1.5 and 2 hour session per week), and need to be willing to travel around Glasgow suburbs. Tutors can decide the number of pupils they want to take on and the areas in which they will work. Tuition follows the Scottish syllabus and uses past papers extensively – these will be provided by the pupil.Most importantly, tutors need to have excellent communication skills. You do not necessarily have to have tutored before, but you need to be able to explain your subject so that it is comprehensible to a complete beginner. Tutors should be current students or recent graduates. Student working visa restrictions unfortunately mean that we are unable to take on anyone who is not an EU member. You need to be able to commit to your tutoring work until the end of May 2009. Reliability is crucial, as is flexibility – parents sometimes have to cancel as pupils are ill. You can tutor in your subject area and subjects closely allied to it: eg an English and History student can tutor both these subjects, and a Medicine student ought to be able to tutor in two sciences. I am an enthusiastic recent Durham University law graduate unwilling to give up on a life-long dream of becoming a journalist! I embarked upon a legal degree as I take a keen interest in current affairs and debating, and have a keen sense of justice. However it was never my ultimate intention to become a lawyer, but rather to make a foray into investigative or comment journalism. I am interested in all areas, however, from entertainment to news, and would love to find an internship or placement with a newspaper, magazine or broadcasting agency of some kind. I have had numerous articles printed in local newspapers over the years, and wrote regularly while at university for the widely-respected Durham University newspaper, The Palatinate. I mainly focused on entertainment pieces, particulary the film section, as cinema is a great passion of mine. The pieces I wrote for local newspapers were while I was at school and were mostly creative writing and comment-focused. I also came runner-up in a National Young Writers' Competition while at school, and have won prizes for poetry. I am an avid reader of newspapers and comment magazines, my preferences being the Sunday Times Magazine, Newsweek and Marie Claire. At university, I frequently attended debates and talks given by the Union Society, having the pleasure of listening to speeches given by Jon Snow and Jeremy Vine, among others. I find such insightful and exemplary journalists a huge inspiration, as, while being incredibly knowledgeable and articulate, they maintain an approachability and warmth which I believe is essential in the media arena. I would hope that work experience in this field would help consolidate what I have learnt so far and develop a talent which could translate into any form of media or journalism. I look forward to hearing from anyone who could help with my request.
